there are days
you tend my heart
in a cage of flowers,
mire my wings
in tepid nectar, let it
simmer in its fiery skin,
with solely a catechism
of dahlia, lure
the gunmetal humming
bird of my desire
through the reclusive
pathways of the soul,
receding, the emergent hours
of obese noon, swoon
over the raised skin,
as the thorn woos
the wound in a dissonance
of blood, it floods
the eardrums with sunlight,
hours swarm near the exit,
imploring, the embroidery
of thirst wound around
the emaciated clavicle,
as it vanishes, like sap
into the furtive silence
of flowers.

You know I could almost feel that hummingbird's wings tickle I swear I could, for it definitely grazed my soul these tender words.

Beautiful, engaging, and written with great care and depth.  It was such a captivating read I dove in several times.  You have a gold mine of talent at your fingertips.  Your command of our language paints some amazingly vibrant pictures.  It's been several weeks since I have been involved.  I stumbled onto this one and am so glad I did.  Your talent adds great depth and gifts to this great community and left my jaw on the floor in awe.  I am looking forward to reading more from you.  This is a keeper!
