the sun singed
through my shirt
again

fever of day
turning into the
precipice of night

where there is
an orifice in time
in a nonspecific
location
undisclosed

with a radius
of

n

minus one

forever minus one

integument burning
still and I long
for the nounless place

to be only

x = null

Owanja-Zrozro winks
from inside
the hole

and dances

last departure from Sipayu

the Kachinas are
after all
men in masks

Ya know...I like your writing, and I know you have a keen mind...but mine just seems so dull when trying to understand this.  Can you give us a hint?  Huh?  Please?

Would you care to interpret and explain? Maybe I could better understand then.

it is entirely contextual to 'and we is' /pip/Forum90/HTML/001097.html

sorry martie -- I am attempting a paradigm shift here... the implications of nounlessness are twisting through my brain -- there really aren't words for what I'm saying here...

but I'm drawing on some Hopi imagery...

Sipayu is the place where they emerged from the last world into this world -- Owanja-Zrozro is a Kachina, or spirit, of madness or like the patron saint of psychiatric disorder -- when the children need discipline the Kachina's come to spank them -- they are men in masks -- when the children become adults the men take off the masks and show them who they really are -- when the real Kachinas come to take us to the next world -- they, will take off their masks according to Hopi belief -- we will understand.

I can't take off any more of mine.

Local Rebel -- You caught me with the first line and took me spiraling with you.  I have an idea what you are talking about. Enjoyed this and your Hopi imagery.   ...jo

we is, is what it is, and that's all that really counts.

Intriguing~  just like you.  Ha!!

And Reb, thank you for reading my bluesy woozy poem, and for spit polishing my tiara.

That was awful nice of you!

And those masks are --

-- well, they're smelly inside and not very lifelike; you have to want to believe or you laugh when they dance up out of the hole, and that makes them doubly dangerous.

brings this about,
get more sun.

I'll continue to read.

I read this yesterday and didn't have time to reply ... but it stayed with me~
Knowing the legend of the Hopi, I so fully understand this ... and commend you for this deep thinking write~

"x = null"

freakin' genius!  no more surprises..

and nounlessness would certainly do away with labels...

this rocks and so do you!!!

Sometimes unmasking can be uncomfortably revealing.

Years ago, I made a giant 4'x8' macrame Kachina that hung from my porch or backdoor. It seemed to speak to me daily, perhaps offering me a message I wasn't ready to receive, until now?

perhaps it explains the forever longing in mankind, for some unexplainable supernatural connection...something man can take his his hand and feel it there...although many of us have, it is fleeting...I've read somewhere that there are other plains to our world here, but we simply can't cross over...but, some have crossed over into ours...perhaps apparitions?

I loved your explaination, thanks

I consider this "companion" to "and we is"...and you got me with Kachina dolls.

(that's a bit of gris gris of which I am fond)

thank you, Reb.

You always stretch my mind.

You and your mind absolutely amaze me, Reb.
I love the way your writing goes into the
mind of your readers. You make us think and
that's a very good thing.
Hugs,
Ethel
