Insomnolence rides the galing wind
as I reached for comfort in Mustang black.
Despite the destination,
I believed unharmed you would bring me back.

As I chaffeured h.s. friends,we joked
calling you the "Passion Pit"
Knowing good and well that
That name would never fit!

Should I write more about our acquaintance,
tell you how you made me feel?
You were my first to free,
To empower me beyond your wheel.

Tonight, as warmed crystals huddle against snowy glass,
I think back to Mustang times wrecked in that icy crash.
Whiplashed, I closed your door.

You were a good friend to me little old mustang.
You shared with me the world to see.

Sadelite~

This is a keeper, and a "share-er"...My husband is restoring his "love", a '69 convertable Firebird.  I enjoy seeing his passion in this pasttime.

Thank you for your kind response to one of my recent posts...today is a stay-in-out-of-the-ice day, and I will be doing much reading.  I've your Prose forum selection on my "to do" list.  Thank you much for pointing me in that direction, as I spend little time in other forums, mainly the open one and spiritual one.

(big angel hugs) I wish I grew up back then when they had all the cool cars, sweet friend, heck, I'm going to go vintage, hehehe! (giggles) This is a most beautiful tribute, sweet friend, I understand how a car can be of sentimental value, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sadelite, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Noah,
   Yes, a car and more...
Thank you, Noah, for your reply.  You always add a bit of joy to my day, as do you to many others.  Take care.

Hey Sadelite. I remember reading the first version of this. Can't say for sure what change you made but I still like it. Of course I love old cars and old bikes. If I could walk out and buy my dream it would be a 1950 Indian Chief Model C-41 motorcycle. Of course that is just a dream. Love the poem my friend.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Ev,
a 1950 Indian Chief Motorcycle...it sounds neat!   I've only been on a motor cycle once, but I will say it had a great feel to it!   Glad this brought a good memory...
   happy writing to you, e.v.,
