I cannot see the slant you have,
might it be left or right?

I cannot see the way you sign,
is it legible or hard on sight?

Would blue ink or black
   be your choicest of hues?

Of ballpoint or fountain,
   which utensil would you use?

Do you print or write cursive
   most of the time?

Is your penmanship messy
   or is each letter aligned?

Do you capitalize when needed
   or prefer lower case?

Is your vocabulary proficient
   or simply commonplace?

Do you forget to cross t's
   and forget to dot i's?

Does your scroll scream out loud
Or is your scratch normal size?

Do you space out your words
   So they appear neatly?

Or do your words fall on paper
With no thought of their symmetry?

Oh, these questions I ask
Are those I need to see
When you scribble your words down
   As you birth poetry

Without your penned sample
   My job’s quite obsolete
You see, I’m no poet
   I study graphology.

So send me a sample
   Of your common pen
And I’ll tell you, quite frankly
What kind of person you’ve been

Your slant shows me things
   You assume are too hidden
And your ink choice reveals
   Your dreams, most forbidden

Whether capital or not
Your style tells on your spirit
There’s not much you can hide
In your strokes, I can hear it

These blue pages are dandy
But I fear because they exist
My career may be ended…
   I’m a starving graphologist.

(smiles) It's funny! When I was a little boy in elementary school, they used to say I had the worst handwriting (I absolutely agreed with them) and now they say I have the best, yay! (big angel hugs) This is sooooooo cute, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet McLean, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Are you really?  I think that is so interesting and at one point in my life was really interesting in studying it myself.  Your poem is very good!

Interesting write, graphologist or not.
I would love to see the handwriting of PIP poets.  Maybe one day . . .

McLean~
Ohhhhhhh ... your profession is intact with me as a client~

I use the flourish of pen to set my ink to parchment ... often after the words have flown to the pages blue ... but I DO LOVE the penmanship with which I was entrusted ... and having had several graphologist's interpret me ... I find that they often have a better key on the REAL me than some who would only interpret my word-play~

This is precious~
THANK YOU~

ROFL... I love this! *S*

My handwriting at work is much sloppier than when I'm writing for myself... even when I'm scribbling poems in the dark! LOL And that may not be altogether accidental... I've had a boss try to decipher my notes only to look up and query "Job security? No one but you can read this!" LOL

(Hey, one is a job... the other's my life. *G* And I can always type. *G*)
