Never Once Did I Pretend Through your times of silence I do know that life goes on In my heart you will always be That special someone It is the pain of never knowing Its the most frustrating part Silence causing those aches Felt deeply in my heart While weeping my silent tears Behind my smiling disguise Aching remains on the inside As my lonely heart cries With the forever we promised Attachments to never depart Etchings are there permanent Engrained inside my heart Yes I was clinging to the hope My longings refusing to end For I gave with heart sincerity Never once did I pretend Hope©2004 |
