How do I start doing
What you're asking of me now
I know that I must follow
I need you to show me how

You sent the woman of my dreams
To make my life complete
A thousand signs and wonders
You've put into this feat

You know I love her dearly
With all my heart and soul
I'll stand by her through thick and thin
Until you call the roll

Both of us have made mistakes
'Cause none of us is pure
But now her thoughts are cloudy
Of her feelings she's unsure

She's acting out of instinct
And advice of friends and foes
Give her strength to make her choices
By what in her heart she knows

Bathe her with forgiveness
Let her know I've done the same
Help her to forgive herself
Because she's not to blame

You ask me now to let her go
And wander as she will
Have faith that at her journey's end
She will love me still

I've looked into her tender eyes
And there I've seen the truth
Because of you I trust her
I no longer need her proof

I'm grateful to you even though
I don't know your plan or reason
For bringing love just once in life
If only for a season

beautiful beautiful write!...you've put
your faith in the right place though.
I wish you the love you are searching for
and deserve!
happy holidays,
Amy

The most powerful poetry of all.

I have a friend going through this...
I'm finding that on earth, sometimes our lives aren't to make us happy, but others. But to please God is worth it... and in heaven we'll be rewarded.
Very powerful...

Are you...(giggle, giggle)...SURE?

Sorry, Unsure Poet, just couldn't help myself. Thank you very much. This one was the result of great pain, and it was finally coming to terms with "letting go" of it in this way that let the healing happen. Thanks again.
