In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2003-10-09 09:51 PM

In the snows of winter   {sometimes}
        I find there is a faint trace
of music
watercolors seep across
    the landscape   in     frag ments
of piano sonatas

{sometimes} in darkness
I watch    moonlight
rise to the sky
wondering how I escaped
       past years   &
casual folds   of memories

I linger in stolen sleep
   lost {lost at your lips}
your tender words  make me weep
I adore silence

even now
I think of how your touch
would feel    &

{often  write letters to you;
delicate -- tender reeds
in  nights  of late hours}

each time asking:
            "gentle wind"
carry  this thought upon your river

I breathe in,
love falls upon my mouth,    I
    taste the sound of water

let me sleep,
    let me dream,
be inside with you

let me remember your
    fingers and words

where

still,  the  eyes

of a lover's soul
accompany my nights

There's a song inside  my soul
One that I've tried to write over and over again

your poetry defines and encompasses all that is exquisitely ethereal. Few hold the gift to lay down words with such a signature unique artistry. Your muse is rare and precious.

Her hardest hue to hold."
"So dawn goes down to day ...
Nothing gold can stay."

Damn.... al that JM said..and then some....
Your words move me... take me places I had forgotten, and places I didn't know were there..

pardon me, while I go read again the words..and revel in the form...immerse myself in the feelings you convey...

Damn...anything else I'll say is just going to make me look like the melted fool I am right now..

Lauren, your words melt the heart and soul of many.Only you can write with the tender passion, the spirited essence, the beautiful heart, and the tantalizing heat that you do.

A precious and appropriate ending to a
most definitely beautiful piece of your
soul,  given to us,  that we might feel
what you have written.

Thanx Lauren..

Loved this ending:

where

still,  the  eyes

of a lover's soul
accompany my nights
