You needn't worry
nor be confused
I would not
be the one
to confess
if I were
to misconstrude
I was borne
an actress
therefore
I know how
to mask
the pain
I even know how
to put on
a pretty smile
just for display
when I can
taste your aura
a thousand miles away
Truly
you needn't worry
I have many ways
to hide
the bruises
that cover my heart
So relax
I would never tell you
anyways
If I were to
fall
only because
I respect
what we have...

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.

So much in this...so many layers...
some of them, so very very thin...

well done, Kristen

Your poem was great. I understand what you mean. It hits close to home with me as well. I hate having to hide things from people, but I do. Maybe it's just me, but I hate doing that. Sometimes it's the only way to keep privacy and avoid talking to people.
Well done. Keep it up!

Good girl!!!  This speaks volumes to me!
Once an actress, always an actress~
(or in my case, a drama queen)

Loved this Ceinwyn!

yes..some of the layers are rather thin..and one step..one might indeed fall...

you write this well.. and here is to hoping if you do fall, that you fall into the right arms.

Sometimes, people holding different goals for the future can tear a friendship apart -- things can get "weird." It's happened in the past, and I'm sure it will happen in the future. I hope he/she/it will be able to hold onto your friendship, that you will be able to hold onto his/her/its friendship, without things gettin' messy.

Always enjoy yr poetry.

Kris, I truly hope that whoever this is concerning
reads this. This really touched me, because I know
how it feels to keep things inside.....I did it for years.
I guess the only reason I don't with Gary is because
he knows me so well that he can tell when something's
bothering me, and tenderly and lovingly gets me to
talk about whatever it may be. By the way, I don't know
if you've noticed in some of my writings, but Gary
and I started out as only friends...then best friends.....
and  still  are best friends even after we have  "fell"
so madly in love. So, Sweetie, it is possible.
Hugs and good luck,
Ethel

I have to agree the actress or drama queen is sometimes easier to do.

(big hugggssssssss) It is sometimes necessary to play this leading role, but also make sure you don't keep in character long after the performance, for holding the ache inside only hurts you more, believe me! (sad sigh) Loosen up after the melodrama comes to a closure, sweet friend, God Bless You, I send angel comfort hugs your way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kristen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
