I would hold you
        away from me
                    even as I desire you.

For an object to be viewed
        as a fine diamond
                    or exquisite opal

if held too close to the eye
        one might observe every
                    imperfection

                               and speak of them

then
        I might be well advised
                    to cast you aside

This

this is why

I close my eyes

in kiss.

Beautiful Eliza...so good to read you here today!
You always put a wistful smile on my face.
Please say you'll stay longer this visit?

Thank you Ethel...for reading...

Yes, Enchantress.  I have brought some of my family in with me, and I do plan on staying around a little longer this time.  Thank you for remembering me, and welcoming me back.
