There's a special place in Limbo
Where lost pounds congregate,
A place that's warm and comfy
For them to pass the time and wait.

And when a decent interval,
In the course of time has passed,
The displaced pounds erupt with joy:
They're returning home at last.

Home to belly, home to chin.
Home to hips and derriere.
One by one, they all return.
Pounds are packed in everywhere.

And so the cycle starts again.
Alas, the cycle never ends,
In fact,it just keeps getting worse,
Because some pounds return with friends.

Sounds like Houston or a remake of "The Blob." Scary stuff.

Thanks to all for your comments on "Fat City," a place from which many  would love to escape.

ah really likes the riming of "derriere" with "everywhere". Good read.

rotf   I'm thinking that my extra pounds return with family, friends, distant cousins, the guy they met at the supermarket, its like they pick pals up on the streets and say " hey man, we know this place to have a GREAT party, come on ova! "

but I've got the little suckers this time, found some new diet pills on ebay that said you could lose up to 30lbs a month, hey, I'm on week 2 and I've lost 12....so take that you pounds of fat & friends  * sticks tongue out *

oh no, and they're bringing friends too. That's it, I'm moving so they won't be able to find me.

This is really cute, and not, at the same time

Dom,
So nice to see you posting here again. I've always enjoyed your wit and humor. Packed on a "few" myself over the holidays. What's a good weight for a Moose? 1200 lbs or so?
Oh well, back to the nuts and berries, maybe a little swamp grass and tree bark. Got any good recipes?
P.S. Tell their "friends" to get lost!
