~*Her Heart Seeks Flowers*~

A shadow...
he becomes her darkness
blocking the warmth
of her sun

Mocking...
he holds her moon
in his calloused hands
and distorts the constellations
to his liking...

Believing
    he is her God

Where cool breezes
once kissed
her cheeks
now
is only the stench
of his heated breath
on her neck
and he gifts her
with kisses
of her own tears

Her heart
seeks flowers
yet...
he offers only
      thorns
and laughs
with satisfaction
when she bleeds

Her quill dips
into an empty inkwell
in his attempt
to stifle her pen
and silence her voice

She fills it
with poet's tears
and etches the verse
upon her heart

~vlraynes

"...until you have read the verse on his heart,
you have not truly met the poet.

yes, but without this fragile love, can there be such good poetry?
easy love is boring isnt it?

Indeed - Why must some put so much energy into controlling those closest to them?  Perhaps they really don't have a handle on their OWN lives - Wouldn't that be a more sensible place to begin?

You've penned some wise words here, Sherlock - Wise words for thought...

Yes, Vicky, you have written about the subject of so much poetry.......
And wrote of it like no other could. You are an excellent writer and observer, friend....

Ah Vicky...

how dark must be
the poets' tears
to fill the inkwell...
this, she fears...

for if they remain
invisible...
who shall know
when the well is full...

and who shall read
the write she leaves,
invisible tears...
who would believe?

From such pain and neglect the beauty of poetry springs forth...a cruel and heartless way to inspire a poet's creativity regardless..

believe in what your heart feels...

I second all the above.

You've penned another beauty Vicky, I just love it when I seen your name, because then I know it's worth looking.

Thank you for this beauty.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Vicky, I know this heartache ever so much I just wanted to give my love everything but she tricked me and deceived me and said she never ever loved me when she did or at least acted like she did at one point! (big hugggsssssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, I'm adding this to my library as your words mentor me deeply, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Vicky, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
