we spoke to the oaks at dawn
when we left the path of return
and ventured down into dark dreams
past the pines that have hands
and the cedars that whisper

you were unsure of your journey
you looked at my eye words to guide
and said barefoot felt good
but you couldn't see
where I would lead you

I took your hand then
you were winged free in flight
you had firefly eyes for moments
and butterfly thighs that lifted you
to my shoulders to be high woman tall

at the pool of living rivers we bathed
you fed the water mouths your warm
from your finger tips they nursed
they wanted more than you had
you left them filled with your voice

after, when we were in edge place
between forward and stay forever
you were my shirt with two buttons
you were pale they were dark ended
I undid you open with tremble

and wore your wrap around me colors.

wondeful opening lines... to set the image in mind before the reader finds the story in the lines that follow... and that story..woven in half imaged phrases... is well told..

*shaking my head*
your poetry wraps the readers in colors...
the warm ones, the colors of the sun and fire.
This poem has more cool analogy and images than even I know...

DS

You have taken me there with your words.  It's a beautiful place.  You write like sun threads through trees.

Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
