He staggered in when the bar opened for the day,
Barely able to get on the stool at the end,
Put a rumpled twenty down and there was nothing to say,
The bartender put glass and bottle down for him,
And he was on his way.

“I almost remember her,
Was it light brown or blonde hair,
Another sip and I don’t care.

Were we good friends or lovers,
Did we just know each other,
One sip leads to another.

Did she leave me or I her,
I guess it doesn’t matter,
Another sip and I don’t care.”

The sun rise goes round in a day to fall back in the sea,
His sat there drinking the time away till it was time to leave,
He walked away stumbling slow with nowhere else to be,
All his thoughts were washed away so he could not grieve,
He drown out memories.

(big hugggssssss) This is so very sad, sweet friend, my heart goes out to the many who deprive themselves of hope in drinking and lose themselves in their losses! (sad sigh) This is sad but wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Aszard, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!'

Love,
Noah Eaton

"Another sip and I don’t care.”

I've been living this one--and this line reminds me of the stones--"I just can't seem to drink you off my mind."

and you have been on MY mind my friend...
so good to be back!

This is gorgeous imagery, vivid and gritty.
Damn, but you inspire me.

Thank you, all
Events keep me exceptionally busy these days,
I am pleased you all enjoy the few words I scribble out.
And Mark, yes that is where this one is at.
