Standing At The Shore Of Me

~*Marge Tindal*~

Sometimes I touch reality
Standing at the shore of me
As waves of doubt come rolling in
I surf the thoughts of what has been
Upon the sands of my castles in crumble
Recognizing the very need to be humble
Built upon the shifting sands of time
I need to bucket my joys in rhyme
Move my dreams to higher ground
So the waves in constant pound
Do not ebb away my serenity

Wow. I loved the poem. And the sandcastle is awesome! I can feel that moist sand sticking to my feet.

I do know what you are saying with this unfortunately, and the pain of the reality is as bad as the pain itself.  Great write Marge. (big hug)

I think our dreams are so tied to our serenity....we are most at peace when our dreams seem safe at the moment.  This is something I know in my heart so I will not have to go to my corner and ponder it. *S*

Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream.

tang of salt comes crisp to me,
as to many memories
and while the castle gleams abright
my shore shall steal away in night
taking with it dreams of true
'tis then that I still hold to you...

What might I say, our Marge - your are inspiration itself....

Your poem brought the song to mind that goes... "On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. I dare not trust the sweetest name but wholly lean on Jesus's name."  Keep writing.. a pain that can be felt can be healed. God Bless.

we are not ever worried about your sincerety going anywhere dear one.
your waves waft wonderfully in this

Well tomorrow holds only mystery
And who's to say what might be
But in you I found a love so strong

marge,
even though the past can be painful, and the knowledge of what we have lost can hurt,
remember that all too often, the things that we lose leave us to make room for better things yet to come, if we can remember that and leave a place for them.
beautiful poem.

Hi there, ya lil castle crumbler, you.  I like the flow of this poem, even if it does touch on a theme of self doubt and indecision.  I can't really think of you and this subject at the same time.
