He Calls It Friendship

Who will be  next
To end up being hurt
Believing in his words
Falling for the flirt

Who will be next
In the being led astray
Holding broken heart
A new victim of prey

Who will be next
In answering his need
Feeding  hungry egos
In fulfilling his greed

Who will be next
To wait in this queue
He finds lonely hearts
To weaken and chew

Who will be next
In becoming his toy
Bouncing on strings
To tease and destroy

Who will be next
In letting barriers slip
All take the warning
He calls it friendship

Hope,
this sounds personal, I hope it isn't *HuGS*

All too often the prey...this speaks volumes of hurt...but very nicely done.

I love this poem, but it puts me in mind too, that perhaps we see what we want or need to see in situations like this..then judge a friend too harshly.   Anyways..it made me think. enjoyed.

Sometimes the heart needs the solace of solitude and silence.

I think I actually heard that "SLAP"! lol   If this is based on a true-life experience, you have my prayers that you'll be strong and that you won't be hurt like that again.
Jenn made an interesting comment that I'll add to. Although there are unfortunately a lot of men out there who are pigs, there are also many who don't realize what kind of signals they may or may not be giving. I am an incorrigible flirt (lol) and I have many female friends but I'm harmless. Other's might not see my flirtations the same way. Just food for thought....
