sittin here on the grass remembering the days when we had so much fun playing football and tag watching movies and chatting all night long until morning getting into trouble together all the things we did and all the plans we had are all now just memories all that I have left to treasure we grew up together and we were the very best of friends for 14 years until that tragic night when you left my house and never returned all because that guy was selfish... you just have a way with words :, though this may be one of your simplest poems i've read. what a tragic story though. Im sorry to hear about this event... Loosing someone, specially in such selfish ways is very hard, i just can't imagine the feeling of your loss. Simplicity is something that I figure I could use a little more in my life. I don't need to complicate things any more than need be. It's always hard to lose a friend, especally to an act of such idiocy. It's good that you remember the good times, because that's the best things to do. This is a beautiful tribute to your friend, and I'm sure you made him proud. False gems may shine as brightly as the genuine article, but there are always those who can tell the diffrence. |

Jess, I'm so sorry that you had to lose such a close friend. I don't know how I would feel if I lost any one of my friends. Excellent tribute, and a beautiful poem. jason  I'm not concieted...I'm convinced. |

Jessica~~~Girl you sent chills up my spine...I dont know why but I got the chills when I got to the end of this...I am really sorry to hear about your friend...That is the worst feeling in the world when you lose someone...Especially someone close...I lost a friend that was close to me and when I am just sitting around I want to call him...One time I almost did...And just imagine what it would be like for that to happen...How the person on the other end of the line would react...Its a horrible tragedy that people so young are dying...I was wondering if your friend was in the car with the person that was drinking and driving??? Thank you for sharing this with us... *Falling in love is when you give someone a piece of your heart, falling out of love is when the piece doesnt fit* |

Thank you guys so much for the much appreciated replies!!for those of you who have not heard the story...Trent and I grew up together...for 14 years, we had the very best of friendships. Knew everything about eachother and had no secrets. We were so tight and everythig was great. One night he was at my house and we were hanging out...his mom called and asked him to come home and help her really quickly and then he could return. No big deal, he would be back in half an hour. Half an hour went by and he didn't return. An hour went by and I got the call. The dreaded call from his mom. He had been hit by a drunk driver and passed away in the hospital...I didn't even get to say good-bye or tell him how much I loved him. I'm sure he knows it..but I would have liked to tell him. well thanks for listening (or reading rather) < !signature--> ~*~sMiLe! Hey there i agree with the person at the top it is a simple poem but it is the MOST dedicated poem i have read i love this poem it touched me in ways i never thought possible im sorry you had to loose such a great friend but keep writting untill the end Branden |
