bottle caps pretending to be crowns
for a sky that looks down
bald headed moon laughing now
at the immaturity of street lights
in their gauzy shawls

sipping fog joe's slowly
I hear the panting hounds
of my own dog tired hurry
leathering the granite shoeshine
gumless I am proud of my soles

binky bay has gypsies in her belly
bobbing their bows on gray
and a splinter or two
of the gulls fresh creamery
taggers with feathered quills

and I wonder of the boards there
on the wharf of gavi's receptacle
who made them ashen on purpose
and pushed their green trees under
the frothing stew of an occasional

white tie side's juxtaposition

I think I CAN see it!  Love the line about the gull's fresh creamery ~ you have the most awesome way of describing things!

Harbor lights, gulls, water lapping at the docks and gypsies moored for the night...I can almost feel the seabreeze kissing my face, hear the distant clang of buoy bells and the rush of surf calling me to winter beaches.

That's great. The whole thing is great. Cheers    - Ed
