There is something
about the boundlessness
of the scene before me
that keeps me riveted
My vision given rein
to gallop free,
caressing the rich green fields,
the teasing clouds and the occasional buffalo

There is something
about my fondness
for this land,
numerous miles away from home,
that startles me
My mind scratching
to explain
my affinity for a place
I briefly trespassed
My heart struggling
to find
a heart-tug equivalent
among the concreteness back home

perhaps to rationalize
is to miss the point
I place my goblet
upon the windowsill of desire,
watching it fill with
happiness

Loving this especially:

"perhaps to rationalize
is to miss the point
I place my goblet
upon the windowsill of desire,
watching it fill with
happiness"

don't rationalize..just enjoy!

Home is sure where the heart is and Kaile, you wrote that out so well.

smiling here, especially at this:
quote:
I place my goblet
upon the windowsill of desire,
watching it fill with
happiness

wisdom sits well on your huge smile
