Getting Over You
~ By Sue ~

Just when I get over you
you pop back in again
It has been so hard
to forget you

I wish you had cared
when I was still there
I might have stayed
a little while longer

We could have made it
if only you had tried
It is so lonely, now
with no one ever here

The day that I left
you weren't around
It was very clear, that
you didn't even care

If you had wanted to try
not long after I left
I might have gone back
then, we'd still be together

It's been three years
since my departure
Times have been rough
Still, I haven't give up

I do all I can do
to forget about you
and all of the love
we once shared

There is no need to worry
I am doing just fine
You see, I didn't need you
like you thought I did

Yes mam, Sue. You are strong. Hang in there.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
