Tired, dull and dusty, like our love
The once beautiful rose stood hidden and forgotten
behind the bedroom curtain
Collecting years of dust which covered the ruby red passion
Which once was so alive
Even hidden and forgotten, is there still meaning within?
Could that rich warmth be found again?
Or is it too late now

The years of dust so heavy, the weight so hard to bear
Smothered and stifled the vibrant feelings lay trapped within
Waiting to be released
Carefully dusted
Lovingly restored
But could we find
The Time?

Sadly
It seems the answer
Now lies scattered on the bedroom floor
The load just too heavy
So, like our love, the rose lies broken
Shattered

I gaze upon the petals
Bitter tears falling
For now I see again the beauty of the rose
The colour was hidden within!
How could we know it was still there?
Unseen by unbelieving hearts
Only found now they are broken

Is it possible?
To piece our love together?
To find again the passion and romance
Or is it time to discard it
Like a crushed and broken rose?

Lost, even though this is a heart wrenching and sad poem, it is still beautiful. Welcome to Passions. I think you're going to like it here. It looks like you may fit right in.
