“Too tired to pen tonight,” gelid thought glazed,
linking the spray of wash an hour back.
Busy day immersed in rush and of salt-mud flushed
Down rounded crystal cavernous walls of car wash.

Ice pebbles lined bristles brush but
Removed with nitpicking gloves so that
Not a scratch would be harmfully rubbed
Into cars lustrous coat of black.

A frozen floor of froth and icy foam displayed
beneath harried feet.
As he hosed, icy walls instantly rolled warmly cold,
Into blocks receipt.

Inside, I beheld the pace of crystal over metal spread
Until engrossed by flooded windshield and its water flows.
From progression of subtle mounting rows, thick prisms arose,
Lending me new lights from which to see, open new sights to pen.

misao,

I'm glad you liked it.  Sometimes, just have to write, but have to catch an image to write about.  The images have been flying pretty fast lately-I was afraid I couldn't catch any...   Thank you for your kindness in reply.

(giggles) I looovvvveee car washes, I love those Diamond Shamrock ones where they give you soap in yellow and pink and blue colors and then wax it all over the windows to make the windshields look all pastel! (kiss on cheek) Hehehe, you wear a Turtle Wax smile as our friend poet, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sadelite, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Fabulous images with a gritty feel.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Noah,
Thank you for sudsing pastels upon me!
I've never seen those type before, but they sound like a real hoot!   Wouldn't they be pretty in frozen state?   Thank you for this picture and response!  You're very sweet.

Kethry,
Thank you for your compliment and perception.  I hadn't intended a gritty image, but it is one from which I wrote.
You perceived it well.

I never doubted it... but you've just proved a poet's inspiration comes from anywhere and everywhere. *S* Beautiful work! *S*

suthern,
It's true isn't it?   When ya think all is blank, something pops up, asking to found.   Thank you so much for your reflective comment.

Grover,
Mundane... that's an interesting word.  Out of curiosity, I wonder what words we could make if we scrambled its letters up.  Thank you for your kind response, Grover.

passing shadows,

Yep!  See what happens out of desperation to keep writing something every day or two.  Before I know it i'll be writing about baby bibs or coke bottles!  Thanks for your continued reading, p.s.

This is my favorite part.  You're so good at painting....like I've said before.

Wow, I can only imagine how
good you write when your
not tired?

The last time I took my
car to the carwash, they
left the window down, and
broke my antenna...

Enjoyed this Sadelite!

Have an enjoyable rest
of the weekend.

iliana,
As to your comment, I hope I don't paint "too much of the picture".  It's a fine line.  Take care...
