They fly across the wetlands
As the day makes way for night
The sun starts to retire
And has almost faded from sight

This vision I see before me
Is one of elegance and grace
Swans gliding across the water
This moment I now embrace

Nature takes centre stage here
In these wetlands near my home
For me to be at one with nature
Not too far do I need to roam

My father took this picture
And now with you I share
This image being second best
To actually being there

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Hi Sue, It's a lovely picture and a beautiful poem to go along with it. Nicely done. Enjoyed the view

Sue:  Lovely picture and poem to match! We have tundra swans that migrate through our area every year and love to see them. Really beautiful creatures.

A beautiful combination of your father's talent and yours...
I love swans... we have many of them in our pond which is behind our condo...
They are beautiful but can be very nasty.
~ loving hugs

I resently visited Lily Dale, a spiritualist community in upstate New York. I was so impressed by the grace of the swans as they regally glided by us on Lake Cassadaga---I bought a figurine of one!

The photo your Dad took, and your poem, are both captivating.
