Caribbean Morena
By: Noah Eaton
8/28/02

Standing at the pier of Dimbly-Doo Lagoon
Watching many happy lovers on the sighing Caribbean
Sailing in baby-blue glass swan paddle boats
Pirates of ecstasy, finding happiness like Magellan
I lean over the moonlit waters, I feel I can tread softly upon them
Tears from my eyes splash into the abyss
Dreaming and wishing so badly to hold my Joanna
Tremble to her beauty...feel from her loves first kiss

That scene from The Little Mermaid always rewinds in my mind
Where the man kisses Ariel in the canoe
How I wish I could kiss my girl Joanna
And feel the fairy shrimp gyrate around us in the lagoon
And all a sudden we would collapse out of our boat
But we're laughing because we're so happy
How I want you so badly to be my mermaid
And feel like Walt Disney, Mickey with Minnie

I feel a judge to myself, but without antonomasia
You are a trope to all my dreams and what makes me comfortable
You're the enchantment that makes gold of all my connotations
And I wait here to feel your love so amorable
Eager to sail beside you in this aurora lagoon of love
Upon the swan and fly away to paradise
Just imagining you crying in joy makes me flood in tears too
I pray to God every night I'll always be fair, faithful, loyal, and never lie to you...

I stand beside this quiet mountain pond
Teardrops fall from my eyes wanting to meet you so badly
They form ripples in the water, showing holograms of my dreams of you
Taking you to Disneyworld, taking you to Palm Beach
Gently sailing away to a romantic island with you
Praying to God your hearts compass rose leads to me
With no changes in latitudes or longitudes
Crying softly just wanting to share my kiss with you by your beautiful briny sea
My sweet Joanna,
my Caribbean Morena...

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Shakira

Noah - goodness, this is both beautiful and written so well. Romance is inside you in this Caribbean masterpiece...

awwww good ol' Noah
it must tear at your heart
- the distance -
and it saddens me that two, in such love,
are apart.  Always impressive is your
expression of your romance.  Stealing a
page from Jimmy Buffett with this gorgeous
longing in Caribbean metaphor.
Hang in there, Buddy.
It will happen. . . .

There are so many smooth lines in this Noah,
but these are the ones that made me sigh~
I loved your title and the picture too...
You're inspiration is so tender and sweet...
never let go of your dreams dear man!!

Noah, In my whole life, I've never, ever known anyone as romantic and loving as you.

This is deliciously scrumptious....
