“OF A SHADE OF PALE” by Bill Charles ~~~~ Alone at the top of a mountain high, searching ones self deeply inside… Exploring the depths of a soul lost, cleansing it, setting thoughts aside… Feel the moist breeze on my face, as the misty clouds engulf me… Wet, damp, flowing into my depths, chilling, yet it stays alluringly… I reach out, touch into the haze, deep emotions, as my spirit soars… She’s there, I feel her, trace her, pillar of sweetness, her contours… The breezes are still moist on my face, I’m engulfed with her, one so frail… Somewhere from within the mist, an image, a face of a shade of pale… ~~~~ |

Oh BC this poem is just incredible. I love the way you started it by going to the top of a mountain to be with your thoughts and then as it progressed, an image appeared to you through the mist. Gosh, I felt like I was sitting right there with you seeing her image. Wonderfully written and I enjoyed it so much. It took on a spiritual feeling for me.
