on the horizon of a fairytale

The Source of a Heartbeat

The enticement of a
heartbeat comes from
the squeeze of a finger
in a baby’s grasp

The wagging of a
dogs tail at the end
of the day

the laughter of child
and the purring of a kitten

The soaring of an eagle
over an open field beckons my
heart in warm tender, no less than
waves breaking at low tide

Morning walks, fragrant
with fresh cut grass
A steamy mug of coffee
warming cold hands

The enticement of a heartbeat
is found in a crackling fire
lending light to a soft kiss

Gosh,  now I think I have captured a name.
Ann?....IF I can only remember it....I am
so horrible with names...

Your visual imagry of this was magnificent
and it was so peaceful reading it...I loved
all the little parts...and the ending was
superb.  Thank you.
