Underneath The Texas Skies

For just one single night
I wonder how it would be
to be held there in your arms
darlin' would you dance with me?

We'd be dancing all alone
underneath the Texas skies
only the stars and moon above
would see the twinkle in our eyes.

Would you hold me closely
as we were dancing, oh so slow,
right there in the moonlight
just one kiss might you bestow?

Somewhere in the heart of Texas
we'd be dancing through the night
and I'd stay held there in your arms
until Texas shone her dawns new light.

And if you would take me home
I'd fall asleep there in your arms
and I'd sleep the sleep of angels
as you held me, safe from harm.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
