Listening to every heart

Puddled

I smile slightly at the befuddle
of my current term of muddle
for he casts me in this wondrous spell
and leaves me in my puddle, well….

confusion reigns, my mind replete
of things now said, that sound complete
so I splash about in this, my mind
and find that I'm the puddling kind…

soft is he, tender, and subtle
and thoughts of me lie in his cuddle
and he never thinks of me as trouble
but my, when he causes me to puddle

it could be just the welling of a tear
or my knees that grow weak with cheer
when his voice is that which I hear
and I feel the puddle coming near…

no, in no way does he befuddle
but tenderly he causes a muddle
of feelings and chaos, the love is keen
have you ever seen a puddle gleam?

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

I surely wish I'd written this one... I make a pretty good puddle myself... at least when the muddler is my favorite befuddler...

Marsha...wasn't this too much fun? Thank you for fitting it into your day...

Nan...you DO? WOW! Now I can take the rest of the week off....but I won't! Getting a "Nan Notice" is better than Brownie buttons....

Muddled, befuddled, and puddled! Sheesh, now I'm a mess but got a good chuckle out of it.
Needed it too.
