Colors of You

Upon a soft breeze,
come thoughts adrift,
entering mind,
to dance away my fears.

Each morning I awake,
with dawn's bright face,
leaving it's kiss,
of morning dew....
and with it, colors of you
to enrich my shaded world.

I reach out greedily
to capture, to absorb.
Craving but enough black
to darken my nights.
Thirsting a trace more white
to brighten the days.

Wanting a rainbow of you
to walk hand in hand
in dreams of velvet softness.
Wandering endless paths
seeking the familiar,
to fall into your world
of tomorrows, yesterdays and todays.

Wanting to sense your eye movements
trailing my every touch.
Your silent voice
humming passionate thoughts,
inciting desire
in each escaping breath.

For when the rhythm of dark
melts and binds two hearts,
the quickening beats
echo through the night.

I am the mystery in your dark.
You are the anticipation of my night.
Our shapes touch,
merge, fold, surrender,
feeding upon the kisses that reign
'til the flooding subsides,

Leaving nothing but myst
and the whispers of silence,
to color us in the comfort
of each other.

Maureen, a very beautiful poem. WOnderful tender images

Wanting a rainbow of you
to walk hand in hand
in dreams of velvet softness.
Wandering endless paths
seeking the familiar,
to fall into your world
of tomorrows, yesterdays and todays.

Wanting to sense your eye movements
trailing my every touch.
Your silent voice
humming passionate thoughts,
inciting desire
in each escaping breath.

I am the mystery in your dark.
You are the anticipation of my night.
Our shapes touch,
merge, fold, surrender,
feeding upon the kisses that reign
'til the flooding subsides,

"To the centre of the
city where all roads
meet, waiting for you,To the depths of the ocean where all hopes sank,
searching for you," Joy divison

Maureen,
Holy smokes, now you have done it. One after another you write, and I don't know which one I like better. I guess I will just have to like them all, as I do. This below just hit me right in the heart! Magnificent!

of morning dew....'

Bill...a little secret..some were written last month before I came here..I think I mentioned I can write 3 a day at least (for the last 18 months) so I have a never ending supply... and a new audience to hopefully enjoy some special ones while I  prefer to take some time to respond to the other's on here...

Maureen~
You remind me so much of someone I know -
Tee-Hee .....
I think we've known each other through
our poetry for over a year now ...
I'm going to forward the first e-mail
I ever got from you to you when I'm done here.
I think you'll be surprised to see that
it was one year old on August 1.

Who'd a thunk it ?
Thanks for being a friend.

Marge I am  sure you are correct and it was Denise that we had in common  that was the day before my  29th  wedding anniversary...

I hope she is well...I have gone to lovingyou several times but they deleted over 300 of my poems in their changes and I can't adjust to them..but when I was making those top tens along with you and her it was a real treat wasn't it...and like I said my mom asked when was I coming to Florida..I never did go since that time I had planned to come and meet you two..I have sort of become homebound of my own will..and am  trying to leave the house but see no reason to except one friend that I care to see when I get the chance..and with  everyone else it is funeral after funeral...and I just can't handle any more at this moment...instead of becoming stronger I have  become the reverse but am hoping to change that with more positive people surrounding me...you still have that email? I had to delete all mine I had too much stored on here..
~~soft hugs
