Fathomless your ocean eyes
The crystal waters that I swim
On the horizon my sunrise
The perfect soul that lies within

Endless depth of waters pure
Buoyed afloat by gentle tides
Grant a warming love that’s sure
Tranquillity your soul confides

Sweep me clear from the shoals
Of displeasure’s breaking wrath
In endless oceans make me whole
In passion’s storm love’s aftermath

Blissful waves that lap at beaches
Of my yearning ocean love
The plea of my heart beseeches
Ever be sunshine above

Fathomless your ocean heart
Magnificent your pearly crown
And ever should we drift apart
Buoyed no more by love I’ll drown

Dedicated to Shannon, my beloved

Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.

What woman wouldn't want to have poetry as beautiful and as adoring as this, written for her?!? Simply lover-ly!

Thank you very much ladies and gentlemen. It's truly special to share work with such wonderful poets, and my beloved is always overjoyed to see these links. She's watching you guys too, although she doesn't write poetry, she writes prose. I've been pestering her to join and post since I did.

You tell Shannon that we have a place for her lovely prose, just as we have several places for poetry such as yours. It's wonderful...thanks for sharing such a special poem...and such a special lady!
