I, like the river

open
       broken;  a

butter-fly half
forget the deep pools of rain  that have gathered lonely

you have left me empty

fumbling with the darker undertones of my hair

I only wanted to tell you

in some           closeness  how the blades of sunsets           once fell  from blue

marking our time of beginning

now we have forgotten        the green

scattered across the invisible frame--just

      small fires burning
leaving embers behind

they no longer matter

change the movement
of touch &

stillness is an act of will

we no longer desire

I wanted to forgive your hands
    for touch -ing
your heart
    for lying

but you left my heart like the stones

~
just a ripple away from
drowning

sometimes when we meet people, they are good for us for only a short time...perhaps the blue is all you really had in common, not to mention, there are a few men, that cannot commit, nor take responsiblity into their vocabulary.  It's how they were raised and what they believe about themselves.  A person cannot give, what they haven't known.

You deserve better

Just look at you, I am breathless after reading you, and so happy to have seen your post....all your posts...

Lady, your extremely intelligent, and sometimes that also intimidates men.  Believe me, not all, but some, who are less then confident about themselves.

Look for the green in the eyes lovely lady...
whomever meets you is extremely lucky.

Very very good writing.
