Endearment Enclosed

28 October 2006

Your beauty was a morning light,
your eyes were tranquillity when placed.
Each moment of thought was heaven,
because you were the stars in a cross.

A southern gal, a lamp of response.
Such were your amber lights,
every item of your smile was one of grin.
Endless ears, like golden corn, tasted and tempered,
you were delight, where delightful held your name.

Your were every thing God created,
because God never created true shame.
An arrow in bow, a bullet to a rifle,
you were apple pie, fruit cake,
and a delight of dessert to trifle

Smiles, sweet smiles, this passion of a world away.
You were those days of the week,
the ones of summer light.
This flower, this yellow rose.
Just for that equal treatment,
in being more than a factor
of endearment enclosed

A trifle is a British dessert dish made from thick (or often solidified) custard, fruit, sponge cake, fruit juice or, more recently, jelly and whipped cream, usually arranged in layers with fruit and sponge on the bottom, custard and cream on top. Some trifles contain a small amount of alcohol (port, or, most commonly sweet sherry) - non-alcoholic versions use fruit juice instead, as the liquid is necessary to moisten the cake.

A well-made trifle is often used for decoration as well as taste, incorporating the bright, layered colours of the fruit, jelly, jam, and the contrast of the creamy yellow custard and white cream.

Another nice one... You like writing poems like that do you? That's good. Thanks for the definition of a trifle. I didn't know what that was.

thank you,

the footnotes sort of add another flavour and taste to my writing, only not everyone gets or understands why the need to see them.
