I wonder if our deserts have ever met
when their sand was a dave matthews band
crashing between the winds without reason

should I recognize your skin salt flavor
your lean over after running taste
would you know my mouth with your shoulder

before you would take me down to dine
at some place lovely else
and we would make the sun stop watching

through a cloud's broken window
of would we just punish his eyes
with the finger prints of our laughter

and talk about him behind our backs

It was that time of summer daze, when only a laughing sprint to the sea would be a bath for two. Wasn't it ...

This is better than dipping one's finger
in the last of the saucy nacho dip for that
little remaining linger of flavor...

do it again.

DS

"with the finger prints of our laughter"  I love the idea of this....I think I have those prints all over...and I don't want to clean them off.
