.

Perhaps it is just me,
my life
or luck,
good or bad
for having lived this long,
but I have wondered for a while,
why so many women
are so twisted,
so full of silent screams
anger weeps from them
in acrid droplets,
bitter mists,
staining liquid
from a rope saturated
in despair,
neglected,
then
wound too tight
around pillars of rage
and hopeless dreams.

Damn - sadly true, powerful lament and perfect title...

Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!

Perhaps you should ask the men that just might have left them in this wretched condition. A woman is a wonder and she can be wonderful ... if only ...

Enjoyed your thoughts.

I think it's easy for this to happen to women in many cases and have to watch it in myself, too.....maybe it's just the process of chroning, but in most cases....I think it's just genetics....cell memory and competing to keep the species going; and either maybe not wanting to participate in that or being past the point they can....the feeling of purpose, or lack thereof, yeah, I think that's it.  If we all just remembered that our purpose is not just one of mating...lol...maybe the world would be a little brighter.  *grins*....jo

Thank you all for reading and for your thoughts.

I do think this often is linked to interactions with men (but maybe I only see that part which reflects women's interactions with male).

Jo, you raise an interesting thought; part of the path to croning?  See?  I couldn't get there alone - male wiring in the way I suppose.  Is it nescessary to get away from sex to avoid this, or to allow sex to mature into recreation instead of procreation.  I don't know the last medical advice I had was that I needed more recreation in my life.

Thanks again for your thoughts!

Yes, icebox, we could all do with more recreation in our lives but as to women being "angry", I think it's because most of us do not understand exactly what it is that men lack and why they lack it.  You see, women are the nurturers and they expect men to be like that as well whereas men, of necessity, need to be more distant in order to cope with the role of provider.  Sadly, with women not getting what they need, they turn bitter or else there's an element of role reversal which evolves and they in turn distance themselves.  Women generally are people orientated and men job (and self) orientated but until there is understanding even love can't hold the two sides together well into the recreation stage of life.  Perhaps it's then that partners change or we just give up and make do.  I think that's such a pity but history most times binds and we live on the outskirts of what should and very well could be.  But you know all this, of course.

was that a generalization?

*cough*

maybe, and I am not agreeing 100%, it's because we simply are having to depend on ourselves far too much.

Where have all the cowboys gone?

we are not all impossible to live with...
