Of Angels, Sinners, and Repentance

The heart of a man is ancient and resilient
Waiting for the dreams of smiling Angels to end;
It has always been a struggle to return to true self
As man continuously betrays His faith of blind illusions,
When glancing upon black and whit images in reflection…
Mumbled verses whispered from different perspectives,
Flowing into an endless reservoir void of light.

The subtle fragrance of darkness, is for now triumphant,
Masking the truth behind invisible tears,
Dripping paint on the tongues of colorless flowers,
Then onto a vase that holds within its essence,
The gift of life and love profound,
Misunderstood when blood soils her soul,
Infinite red granules, shattered from his lonely heart…

When today becomes what yesterday was promised tomorrow,
Man and woman will make right perfection,
To the affection and patience of Heaven’s crown.

Marcel

This piece feels melancholy, but hopeful at the same time. An interesting blend
