A stranger’s footsteps
lead me down an unfamiliar way:
I realize things now
I never knew I knew!

The question arises:
Is earth a prison?
It seems we are:
we cannot leave at will
but must wait for death.

Surprising how such a thought
makes many people laugh
when I share this belief
and I wonder,
when are earth humans
going to change?

I hear the stranger’s voice:
“As long as Humans
enjoy their stay in their cell;
as long as they fail to realize
they live within a trap,
in binding, blinding rules
and endless limitations,
they will never try to go
beyond that point.”
For the wheel of karma turns
not in judgment or punishment
but in mindless repetitive turns.

His voice fades into the darkness
but I know what my quest is now:
to discover light travel
so I can freely leave this place,
and that, without any regret
when I know my time has come.

You can do it, WindWalker - I've heard of many who have and here I think the American Indians have the edge on us and perhaps other "religions" considered to be pagan.  Requires belief though.
Enjoyed your probing thoughts!

Ah  But most are caught up in "suffering".
They are not enjoying the gift of "Life"
Therefore...They DO see it as a cell, a trap.

Is earth a prison?

As long as there is the thought of bondage.
The idea that there must be an "escape"...
Yes, it is a prison.

The idea that there is a "sufferer" that must escape the suffering...creates more suffering.   The walls become thicker, higher.

As long as there is the thought that "you" or anything "other than you" must change...The shackles remain.  It is a prison.

When there is no longer the desire to be "this or that"  and rest is found in that which  IS...  content to just  BE   and let be...
That which "seemed" a prison...becomes paradise.
LOL     blah  blah  blah

Great write !     As always

A very thought provoking write, one of which I might add, I have had many thoughts along these lines, too!
I very much enjoyed this, and Uriahs reply says much too, which I think in time we all find that in the end happiness is within our selves, sometimes it's just a darn hard road getting there.

I look at it as this is just the stepping stone to the next plateau.

I Enjoyed your words.

and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna
