Was that really a twinkle
I saw there, in your eye,
or was my own vision clouded by
a heart held in sigh?

Was it mere imagination
that made the moment hold
a perfect sensation,
almost as if
you had read my mind
and knew that somehow,
you would be forever held
within a rhyme

but,
I could have sworn
that it almost seemed real

just a few seconds longer...

did you allow me to feel
the warmth of that moment...

or, did you feel it too?

You know, I'd almost stopped believing
in that thing they call love;
but was it a clue sent from above
when the clouds suddenly parted
and the sun began to shine through?

{I caught myself drowning in pools of blue...}

Maybe after all,
what they say might be true....
you don't always find love,
sometimes, it
finds you.....

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

Donna, that was exquisite! Your gentle spirit deserves to be loved as you do love.
Highly poetic ink flows from your fine pen.

Sending you a big, warm, hug-o-love,

talk about soft and gentle
Ritchie wrote your song long ago;
you've just been waiting to hear
the right one sing it for you
and then follow up on the message
and you know exactly what I mean

I do think that it is as you've perhaps suggested... We (humans with our human nature) do make love much too much an illusive thing when indeed it is so very much an inclusive part of our being. Sorry for the over expounding here, but I really really liked your poem's ending.

thanks all, for tolerating my mood.
I've been told, its when you aren't looking for it that it walks right into you

thanks, and much peace to all..

If this is what it is
to drown,
it seems quite warm...
