As I Write This Today

I shall not be missed
You would act unaware
Silently I am leaving
Without a fanfare

Into forgotten oblivion
Here I cannot be found
I shall tip toe quietly
Not make a sound

Before I say goodbye
Perhaps I can mention
I do not write for pity
Nor for attention

I once did have hope
If your memory recalls
As I write this today
A silent tear falls

I wish you happiness
Mine came to the end
I will grieve in silence
Signed your friend

Hope~
You are such an excellent writer ...
Don't know how you do it ...
But glad you do~

Enjoyed the read, Hope.  I grieve too but I know it will end once the will to forget wakes up from what can sometimes be a long sleep.

I have someone I could send this to, but now it's pointless to even talk anymore

sending you

A feeling we just get every now and then. Great one
Why is it that we have so much to write about when we are feeling down??

mariae
Because when we are happy we want the feeling to last forever. We do not try to remove it from our mind and soul.
When we hurt, we want the feeling to go away and we try to get rid of it by every possible mean.
Does that make any sence?

Hope
Beautiful poem. I can feel your pain and I am sending good thoughts your way.
Thanks for sharing
