Lay me down there
where your soul’s shadow
clouds, concealing
emotions felt
unrevealing
depth of your
intensity
lay me down for just a moment
in the love
you used to feel for me

let me touch
what used to be
if only for just a moment
drown me, allow me
this memory

saturate my senses
with all the words
you chose to never say
permeate my perception
so I can finally understand
why you went away

then bury my heart
at least the broken part
that once held everything
I held onto
the part that was
my faith, my love
for you

Oh Gawd!

This one hit me hard today.
Only our SEA can write like this.

Susan, 'Sea' is such an appropriate pen name for you.  The depth of emotion always moving in your writing.  Sadness here and loss beautifully penned.  But the thing I like about the sea is that it is as everlasting ast new dawns and sunsets, and a constanst source of new life.

oh, now this IS a beautiful heartache write
and yet, also quite soothing
few can do what you just did
the SEA really ebbs gracefully from your pen

SEA, I totally understand the emotions here in this beautiful poem.  Someday when you have a chance, check out my "Pirate" poem somewhere in archives, I think you'll identify.  *hugs*....jo

Sea, it's been a while since I caught up on messages. "Kissy"  should have been "Klassy."  Looking at that comment, I was probably tired when I posted--it is full of typos!  LOL

Hugs,
K.

saturate my senses
with all the words
you chose to never say

That is what makes it hard to make a comment on a poem like this.
As if being afraid in what to say
or how to say it

a poet who cares

Klassy, actually, I refer to our poet/moderator Christopher as "Kissy" as in "Kissy Face" sorry about the confusion.

and to my New Zealand Christopher...that's ok if you don't know what to say, what ever you want to say is best... and if that is nothing, that's ok too.
