The Raven

The Raven stops here every day
To check the changes of my stay
Each stays a little closer look
With added quotes made in his book

He checks my eyes my tongue and nose
And notes his book of all the woes
He shuts his eyes and taps his beak
And shakes his head but does not speak

He ogles me my walk and moans
The creaking of my weary bones
He sets it on a mental scale
In black and white and great detail

He looks into the sky to gage
The time and process of old age
And then he winks a wink of sorrow
Flies away until tomorrow

But he’ll be back the first of grey
The Raven stops here every day

Sy, I think he flew far away...
and the bluebird of happiness
has come to stay.

Good day to you Sir!

LOL... I love this... though I'm not sure I'd like to have my aches and pains, creaks and groans catalogued each day! LOL

Excellent work, my friend... evermore! *S*

We have many ravens near where I live and I always amazed at their size.  They are awesome birds.  It's nice to read your words again, Seymour and I hope all is well in your life.

Take care.......Sue

Perhaps the raven knoweth that ye be a true Poe-et.

'Tis a mighty fine penning that thou hast scribed!

Suetang
I've seen the Raven and he is a large bird
and clever too. It's just a poem, I'm ok.
Thanks for the read and comment.

Earth Angel
It's a good symble and a descriptive one.
Glad you enjoyed the write.
