If a day could
What would it dream?

We watch the clouds rolling by
Circus eyes to sky.
Elephants and lions,
Rabbits strolling by.

Does a day dream upon its shadow
made by those passing clouds?
Does it see its reflection
in darkness on the ground?
In our hemispere, a day has no equal,
no partner in its time to squeeze
A day has no knight,
No one to contemplate, tease, or please.

Perhaps a vacation
When all day, the sun can stay reclined
Where hour and degree have no essence…
Or, maybe it dreams of the occasional,
When in daylight, the moon and sun
  momentarily are seen to greet...

I wonder,
What would a day’s dream be?
.
