Bare Root Roses

it is the
time for
planting
bare root
roses

it is
always
time for
planting
bare root
roses

I want
to plant
one now

with
you

Just because it was a good day for planting roses, and I planted one.

It's a rose called Honor, and it replaced one of these.... /main/forumdisplay.cgi?action=displayarchive&number=91&topic=002538

Ed....To plant again is a pleasure, and in the next bloom, a treasure.

Ed,

It delights me to see you planting.  I will keep this to remind of depth and root.

Exquisite - perfect in its simplicity.  Held my breath whilst reading it and the tears are flowing from reading Of Wasps and Roses.  What a beautiful soul you have!

....and today's a day for planting wild honeysuckle....and a new fruit tree....always a good time for those too, but there's something about a bare root rose......

I read this yesterday but couldn't respond... I was just going through the motions after still another death had tossed my spirit back onto a heap labeled "exhausted."

But your words kept tickling my mind... reminding me of life's cycles... promising that spring will come again and beauty will burst forth... even when it seems we're just getting our hands dirty and that promise has to be taken on faith.

I can't tell you how much that meant to me... means to me. *S*

And... as usual.... your words lend themselves to multiple interpretations. *S* That's not the only way I read this... but every way I read it, I find excellence...

Beautiful work!!!
