Something is bringing me down on my knees
And lifting my eyes high above this disease
A mysterious infirmity’s taken its toll
But it is my heart that has taken control

Something is lifting me onto my feet
A victory that only a dream could complete
Across the sweet meadow my bones slowly plod
For I am involved in a talk with my God

Something is giving me wonderful wings
I am aloft where the night angel sings
Up from my bed I discretely arise
Into the vastness of star studded skies

How can these knees bear the weight of distress?
How can I walk on the meadow’s green crest?
How can I float on celestial beams?
These are not visions of long ago dreams

I soar the skies on the trail of a dove
It is my heart that is reaching for love

Keep reaching, dear poetess
