Resignation

Resignation releases many tensions,
Allowing anger and fear to pass through
To a place of courage not one mentions;
A secret of golden fields held by few.

A man may hear the footsteps of doom,
Fearless blood makes no noise
And the heart tells not of dangers that loom;
In fact resignation allows many joys.

No God who could love could endure suffering,
Both petty and pious have their shares,
This form a mobile cadaver shuffling
Along in the snow and ice of worldly cares.

"Resignation releases many tensions"
talk about a truism!
but sometimes I WANT to hold on to a bit of tension
as if I were something spring loaded
ready to burst forth

thank god I've learned to resign myself to accepting my boundaries, my limitations
(hah, did you buy that last line?)

I loved these lines the best. This quite an amazing write.
Keep up the good work.

Resignation has its time and place but in all things moderation works best.  Enjoyed your thoughts.
