I could not stay
away
while she cried her tears
into the vast horizons
stretching out in front of her.

She cannot turn back
so, she flows on
like a fine wine
down the pallet
of a connoisseur
who has been parched
and left with the dry taste
of unquenchable thirst.

Her return, was to long coming
and I tarried there at the soft edges
recalling how she always could soothe
a soul with the grace
of her song...

I sat there,
listening
as she quietly
floated along

knowing that it was time
for me also, to move on....

live for today,
dream of the future,
and learn eternal truths from the past..

It is a wise person who knows when it is time to more on.
