Something takes me past my tether
Past endurance that I weather
Further than my spread out length
To find that now I have no strength

Sleep and time is not enough
To nurture the old fashion stuff
Everyday I spend away
And that was just another day

Once I had the time to spend
And ponder of around the bend
To sit back and enjoy the view
To contemplate what others knew

Now demons crawl within my mind
As clean escape I cannot find
The doors of chance do almost close
Though scent of change around still flows

A place within my stomach churns
As passion for my future burns
Knowing not which path to take
Or which type of choice to make

My life is cleared to tethers end
Reliant on what day may send
For I have grazed on what was there
And now dream of more to share

Rick - What's up? It sounds like you might be having a case of the "woulda, shoulda, coulda's" .... or is the "now-what's?". Whatever it is, may you find peace in the answers. Remember, we are all stronger than we realize. hugs, Chris

Ouch!  I know this feeling. I hope you need fewer antacids than I did, and that the roar of the rapids are soon replaced by the serenity you seek. Nicely captured mood in your poem.

Smiles, (and hugs if you need em),

Hello to you all my friends, as we get older, knowing what we really want seems to get harder and the patience becomes less, too many questions that need to be answered, too many dreams yet to be filled, i seem at a cross road of fate, not knowing which way to go.
Thank you all for your replies, nice to share moments of my life with you, I am well, good to get it out.
Be well my friends and take care.

Sincerely
Rick
