fingers part the insanity
headfirst I dive deep and then
deeper still until grasping
the reason we keep trying
in this so called life
is just out of reach

this life with loved ones ripped
from their proper places
this life that hurts and cries
but doesn’t just give up and die

deeper
dive deeper
no deadman’s float for me
the roaring in my head is loud
and clear

my faith...is exactly opposite of this poem, and I know not why this poem had need to be written, but yes dear lady, I thank God for the strength found in faith
