This Sweet Love

When she said,
"sweetheart goodnight,"
I knew it would
be a good night,
because I would
be caressing her
in my dreams.
How long I have waited,
too many times hesitated,
to let love find
its rightful place
within my heart.
Well, no more,
because now that I
know the joy of love,
now that I have felt
the sweet kiss of love,
I don't want to do anything
that will ever let it die,
and I will do everything
in my power, to help
this sweet love survive.
