In Your Poetic Mind

When the world has been
               reduced to a dark night

just a  taste of ashes floating on  air

light&dark, earth&sky  will embrace such
beautiful harmony

a single petal made for words --
                this eternal image
of reflection   on   water

tomorrow I will rise early
to touch the  spread
of sun
,     as the river flows through
my fingers

my dreams
exist just for me
                the very depth of edges
from these walls

that rain, will replace your
tears, in language only
you remember:

under stained glass
and woven colors

               scattered over the floor

and through the windows
               nothing will move

but the daffodils
folding their stems
to die

~~**~~
There are moments when speech
is but a mouth pressed lightly and
humbly against the angel's hands
~~**~~

"...somewhat inspired," the lady says.....

Me, I'm "somewhat stunned" by this, and once again taking a lesson in how to write poetry which can do that......

Wonderful write, dear Lauren!

quote:

and through the windows
               nothing will move

but the daffodils
folding their stems
to die

Love the melancholy because you render it so masterfully!

Love,
Margherita

It's kind of like having sand sift through your fingers reading your poems, soft, smooth, and tickles your innards (well toes in the case of the beach I guess.)  Lovely.

Each line is exquisite and lovely in its own "write" ~ a jewel set in a brilliant crown.

May the ink in your pen flow for ever more.

Love & Light,
