My Crystal Ball
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

+*+*+*+*+*+
I know not what my morrows may bring,
But perhaps that is for the best.
For knowing of trials that are yet to come,
Would leave me burdened and stressed!

I put my crystal ball into a drawer,
So that my future will be a surprise.
I’ll only invite good things to come,
And anticipate the joys and the highs!

It's just like you to do that, Earth Angel!  Gee, I miss it here.  Stealing a few moments when I can, but they are not enough.  Love the optimism you have!

I think, sometimes, knowing what lies ahead is better. Atleast then, we can prepare ourselves.

There are so little surpises in life,
I do think it best that we don't know what tomorrow brings.
Sending warm grateful hugs to m'friend.

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

Smartest Chick ~

Yes, Sweet Sue, there is definitely some merit in what you wrote. To be fore-warned, is to be fore-armed.

If it is within our power to change unpleasant events lurking in the future, then I would like to know about them in advance so that I could avoid them. Mind you, there are lessons to be learned with every life experience.

However, to know of devasting horrible events that lie in our future and over which we lack the power to change, that indeed, would create stress for us in the present. It would be tantamount to being handcuffed to train tracks knowing that a locomotive is headed your way!

Knowing what lies ahead in our future is a double-edged sword, to be sure! lol

My crystal ball only sees good things ahead for you!

Hugs with love,
Linda

(smiles) Oh Linda, I absolutely agree, for I want to fall in love ever so much and see my dreams come true, but I want to be surprised as well because it is that moment of serendipity, the moment you feel that twinkle in ones eye or ones heart for the first time that makes you cry in joy that is truly the most moving moment of all! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Hi, Larry! Over the years I have heard it said many times, "Prepare for the worst and expect the best!"

The girl guide in me urges me to "always be prepared"! ~ and being the eternal optomist that I am, I always expect the best! Pigtails
