Try a whisper
it works every time,
it blows the hallow in to an empty mine
and kisses something holy and cool,
as a tomb in a mountainside
or a fan within a room.

Hi Martie - This is delightful.  The force of a whisper can move mountains while a shout simply closes love out.

As soft and quiet as a whisper,
this speaks to me Martie gal.
Lovely this..
Lovely you.

This is what will bring us to it in the end, (peace)not bombs, not bullets, but a soft whisper..

And it will be in a womans voice, such as this poem, and like it, its messege will be clear. Then all of wars complexity will be broken down, and its supporters made look foolish by the simple understanding of what the word peace means..explained in a whisper.

I don't think we can ever truly appreciate peace is when we're so busy carving up the world to serve our palate...but to get a message out on the topic that does make certain people think of their headlessness..

it can indeed...beautiful Martie~

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes this art

living in a perpetually hot country, you can never imagine how much i appreciate working fans in stuffy rooms. hence, the metaphor of whispers as fans worked very well for me

Short and deep.

Very evocative Martie.....But then you always have been a poetic gem with your writings.

Ah, Martie....it's good to hear your voice again, whisper or no....and this one says much within much....

I have a hard time with the timing on the whisper thing though....when I whisper I sometimes end up wishing I'd either shouted or been completely silent.....it's when I holler that I end up thinking that maybe I should have whispered!

Martie,

I just love your mind and the way you express yourself!  Again, a real treat to read and ponder.
